I am proud to represent the W. W. Evans Memorial Elementary School as its principal. I began serving in this role in December 2014. My prior experience has included 2.5 years as an elementary principal and transportation director, and 4 years as an assistant principal for the Jr/Sr high school in the same district in western PA. It is my full intention to apply the knowledge I have and the experience I have gained to support the education of Bloomsburg Area School District students.
In my short time here within the district, I have learned that this is a special place. It is a school where teachers are passionate, hard-working professionals who have the care and education of each child at the heart of every decision and interaction. It is a school that plans for the safety of all students. It is a school that, at its core, works to collaborate with parents to help every child maximize their potential. Best of all, it is a positive, inspiring environment; a safe place for students to take risks and feel supported.
The community takes great pride in our schools as evidenced by the active Parent Co-Op organization and its positive relationship with school staff. The community also strongly supports our school events throughout the year. There are many ways for the community to get involved with our school including volunteering, guest speaking, and assisting with fund raising for special events/activities. Please contact our school if you would like more information.
Again, it is my privilege to serve this community, this school, and these students.
Mr. Josh Tabor
